This Privacy Policy explains how Product Inquiry on WhatsApp ("the app", "we", "us"), operated by WPRobo Limited, a UK registered company, collects, uses and protects information when you install and use the app on your Shopify store. By installing the app you agree to the practices described here.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

  • Store information: your Shopify store domain and the store owner's email address, provided by Shopify when you install.
  • Customer inquiry data: when a shopper sends an inquiry, we may process the name, phone number, email address and message they provide, along with the product they were viewing.
  • App settings: your button configuration and the WhatsApp number you connect.

Why we collect it

We use this information solely to provide and operate the service: to display your inquiry button, to route customer questions to your chosen WhatsApp number, to record inquiries in your dashboard, and to show you analytics about those inquiries. We also use your contact details to send essential service and support communications.

How we store and protect data

Data is stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted with reputable cloud providers in the EU/US. Access is protected with least-privilege controls, all traffic is encrypted in transit over TLS, and app endpoints are verified using HMAC signatures. We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Shopify GDPR webhooks

We honour Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks. When Shopify sends a customer data request, a customer redaction request, or a shop redaction request, we respond by providing or deleting the relevant data. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days, and typically much sooner.

We never sell your data

We do not sell, rent or trade merchant or customer data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third parties we work with

We share data only with the service providers required to run the app:

  • Shopify — the platform your store runs on.
  • Resend — for sending transactional and notification emails.
  • Railway — application hosting.
  • Neon — managed PostgreSQL database hosting.
